One of the biggest obstacles that any content marketer faces is the constant demand for new ideas. You can’t just create content out of thin air and many start to run out of blog topics very quickly. Keeping things fresh and interesting is one of the crucial aspects of a good content marketing strategy so you need to be creative as to where you find the resources to keep your content engaging for users and visitors on your website.

Here are a few common practices which may help you create the type of interesting articles, blog posts and videos that you will need to help with the standard and quality of your website’s content:

Utilizing Statistics – In any niche market, people will want to keep up with the latest news and trends. As well as perhaps giving your own take on goings-on inside your industry, ensure you also find the latest industry reports. Research firms are always publishing statistics about the trends inside a market, and there is no harm in you taking such information and converting it into many different types of content.

As well as blog posts and articles, you could create your own video about the statistics and what they mean. In addition you could make your own special report about the findings, and also make a presentation out of it which you can put up on slide sharing websites.

Give yourself a human face - Your business and website doesn’t have to about simply publishing content about your industry and market. It can also be about you rather having to seem like a sales pitch. If you are developing a product, a piece of software or are making any significant changes to how you do things, there is no harm allowing visitors having a sneak peek into how your business works. Have videos and other content showing how your new product or service is evolving. It is a great way too of getting feedback which can then go back into improving the product in question.

Case Studies - They are a tried and tested formula in marketing terms, but it is surprising how some forget to actually make the most of them. If you have customers who have already enjoyed the product or service you are providing them, show it to the world and demonstrate the benefits not in your own words but from those who utilize your service or product. Tons of different content can be developed from such case studies, including videos, blog posts and even a white paper.

Take these common practices into account when planning your content over the month, and you will be guaranteed not to run out of ideas!
